We can always start over. Make new choices. Every day. In the small and the big.
In the third act of life, the opportunities are often about re-someting. Re-birth, re-membering who I really AM, re-connecting, re-inventing myself, re-arranging, re-newing, re-energise, etc. We go on re-treats.
In any way, a new chance to get to know ourselves deeply again. To rediscover that which has not yet received its share of our attention. That which we long for, but which we have not thought we have time for or have been able to realise yet.
Some examples:
• Starting a new life without titles, control and working hours.
• Reconnecting with ourselves — our intuition.
• Inventing ourselves — letting ourselves choose — who do I want to be now?

Being with the Uncertain — The Wisdom of The Cocoon
All true transformation involves something dissolving to make room for something new to be born. The butterfly does not spread its wings without first growing in the darkness of its chrysalis. In the cocoon, the transformation is prepared.
I myself am in a shift — the new is not yet ready — the whirling dervish has not yet emerged. So I cocoon, breathe, listen, allow myself not to know. Rest in the fact that another change is underway.
Someone reminded me of the blossom — that it is not the finale, but the prerequisite for the fruit to form. And when the fruit is ripe, it falls. Nothing lasts forever. Life is generous and full of possibilities — new seeds to grow.
We cannot control the cycles of life, but we can choose how we meet them. That is our greatest freedom and our greatest responsibility — to choose again and again the life we want to live.
No matter what phase of life, you are in — what would you like to rediscover?
